To keep every experience safe, private and relaxed, we ask the person who made the booking to confirm the points below on behalf of everyone in the group. Nothing here changes your booking. It simply confirms that you have read our terms and our safety and nature rules.
Safety
Every experience begins with a briefing and is led by an experienced, EFR-certified local guide. We provide appropriate safety equipment and monitor weather, sea and trail conditions. Routes, locations or start times may be adjusted for guest safety. Guests must follow the guide's instructions and disclose relevant health conditions, injuries, allergies or mobility limitations before participating.
Nature and wildlife
Small, private groups to reduce environmental impact. Shore-based snorkeling. We respect wildlife and never encourage touching or chasing animals. We ask guests not to touch coral or remove natural and cultural objects. We follow designated trails and responsible waste practices, and support optional beach cleanups.
I. Reservations and Payment
- A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
- Standard tours: a 25% deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before departure.
- Private Beach House Retreat and Mix-and-Match experiences: a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance is due five days before departure.
- Bookings made after these payment deadlines must be paid in full.
- All prices are in US dollars. Payment-processing and currency-conversion fees may apply.
II. Customer Cancellations
- Cancellation requests must be submitted by email or WhatsApp.
- Standard tours: at least 48 hours before departure, full refund excluding payment-processing fees. From 24 to 48 hours before, the 25% deposit is non-refundable. Less than 24 hours before departure or no-show, no refund.
- Private Beach House Retreat and Mix-and-Match experiences: at least seven days before, full refund excluding payment-processing fees and costs already committed. From three to seven days before, 50% refund. Less than three days before or no-show, no refund.
- Specially ordered food, beverages, decorations and third-party services are non-refundable once purchased or confirmed.
III. Late Arrivals and No-Shows
- Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Late arrival may result in a shorter tour without a price reduction.
- Guests who arrive more than 30 minutes late may be treated as no-shows and will not receive a refund.
IV. Weather and Safety
- Tours may be changed, delayed or cancelled because of unsafe weather, sea or trail conditions.
- In the rare event that The Local Way cancels an experience, guests may reschedule, receive a credit valid for 12 months or request a refund of the amount paid directly to us.
- If a tour can operate safely but a guest chooses not to participate, the standard cancellation policy applies. We are not responsible for additional travel, transportation or accommodation expenses.
